The number one reason to join the PTA is simple: it benefits your child. When you join, you also support our teachers, strengthen our school, and help create a more connected WSE community.

• PTA-sponsored programs are a great way to meet other parents, build relationships, share ideas, and talk about issues that matter to you.

What am I committing to if I join?

• Joining the PTA does not mean you are required to volunteer. Any level of involvement is appreciated—whether you help in a classroom, volunteer at an event, work behind the scenes, or simply send cookies for the holiday Cookie Exchange. Every little bit helps!

Who can join the PTA?

• Everyone is welcome—and encouraged—to join! Parents, guardians, teachers, grandparents, extended family, and community members can all become part of the PTA.

What happens at a PTA meeting?

• PTA meetings are open to all, though attendance is not required. We typically hold five general meetings per year, featuring:
  • Guest speakers
  • Q&A sessions with the principal
  • Updates on programs and fundraisers
  • Member questions and new business

Can I choose how and when I volunteer?

• Absolutely! With over 800 students, there is always a need for help—and every bit counts. Whether you have 5 minutes or 2 hours, prefer helping at school or from home, we have options that fit your schedule and comfort level.
