Reflection poster The National PTA Reflections Art Program is a national arts recognition and achievement program. Unlike traditional contests focuseReflection poster.pdfd purely on technical skill, Reflections emphasizes personal creative expression, self-discovery, and theme interpretation.

Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for over 50 years. Through the efforts of our Local PTAs, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

With positive recognition as the focus of this program, rather than competition, students of all ages and abilities can experience the benefits of creative expression and help in finding their own voice in telling their unique story.

Students create and submit original works of art inspired by a single, nationwide theme that changes each school year. This year's theme is "What My Culture Means to Me"

Request a Creation Kit for your student

WSE PTA is excited to offer a limited supply of Artist Creation Kits with starter supplies for your student to use to create their PTA Reflections entry. You may request one (1) of the following art kits per student. The creation kits do not need to be returned, it is yours to keep! Happy creating!

Creation Kits:

Drawing Kit - includes textured paper, mixed media paper, craypas pastels set, colored pencil set, pencil sharpener
Acrylic Canvas Kit - includes 8x10 canvas, acrylic paint pots, 2-3 paint brushes, mixing palette
Acrylic Paint Marker Kit - includes set of 24 acrylic paint markers, 2 8x10 canvas panels
Watercolor Paint Kit - includes watercolor paper, mini-watercolor set

It is important that you have read the category guidelines. Here is a link to be certain you know how to present your Reflections entry and any limitations for the category. Entries that do not follow the guidelines may not be eligible to advance in the Reflections program.

PTA Membership: The Reflections program is a PTA benefit. It is required that at least one person in your household is a current member of PTA at the school you attend and where the student will be participating in the program. Please sign up to be a member if you have not already
